Well designed homes and interiors are found throughout Houston, from fully-restored historic buildings to midcentury gems, traditional homes to sleek modern structures. The year's best homes aren't all giants, filled with the most luxurious furnishings available. There are modest homes with smart design that makes them live and feel bigger than they are.
Here are some of our favorites from the past year.
Photo Caption: Interior designer Missy Stewart helped Leesa White transform her Montrose townhome from ordinary to extraordinary. Previously very traditional, Stewart convinced white to remove walls, gut her kitchen and bathrooms and gain a new, contemporary look. The project won Stewart a Best of Show award from ASID's Gulf Coast chapter.
